Living day-by-day like…

The euphoria of Constituent Assembly election and its outcomes is slowly settling down in Kathmandu. The election heat is subsiding. But weatherwise its getting hot and hotter by the day. Its especailly difficult when you are out for lunch in the mid day heat and back at work. The locomotion in the mid rib is not much of help to the eyelids.

The victorious Maoists living by the day are at their best getting their acts together to be jolly good fellas. They have been talking with the diplomats in town and the awesome had a long narrative with the big brother’s foreign minister on the phone. Marginalised people still don’t know whether it was a serious talk or these guys were having just big time gossips…he he he how the established parties in Nepal got knocked out like the last bout Mike Tyson had…and we the comrades we oursleves we are still under shock at the outcome of the CA election…he he he…you know gossips like that. The media reported the talk was serious and the awesome has informed the big bro that he will be shortly paying a visit to the big bro’s homeland. Big bro says anytime you are welcome.

Baburam Bhattarai, not really the awesome, but the awesome’s tag, was fun watching last night on the TV, lambasting the business community to get on with 15 percent economic growth in Nepal. If that was anything then it was surely WOW! Fifteen percent economic growth would be really awesome! Way to go guys! Its always good to aim high. Awesome’s tag said the show is up for economic revoultion now. He reminded the CA election was the political revolution. Now we have to all work together for economic revolution.

Baburam was quite clear in one of the interviews that the Maoists are open to foreign investment provided it falls in the priority of the wanna be Republic of…oops that’s not decided yet. Wow that’s really great!

The awesome’s tag has been more out in the media and public, as the awesome is really busy upto the neck entertaining the bee-line of confused diplomatic communities in town trying to get their context right. Mind you, getting the context right is important to be awesome’s friend.

On the other hand a group of forlorn harruwa political party ministers have tendered their resignations…whereas the Nepali Congress wallahas are still hopeful of the PR outcomes and the coalition government…let it go bro…

Nothing serious…just trying to live day-by-day like…

Diya is in Siliguri…

We finally managed to talk with Diya this morning on the phone. She is at Siliguri at her maternal granduncle’s place. She sounded happy being at Siliguri as she is getting to watch cartoons on the TV and eat all the creamy biscuits without any hassle!

Her granduncle was saying she found the bathrooms at Siliguri granduncle’s house ‘big’. I am glad that she can compare things rather than just judge them.

Her Badi is coming to Siliguri today and most probably Diya will be leaving for Darjeeling with her sometime later today.

We miss you BABY!

Love, Baba and Mummy. |17.04.2008|
